It’s that time of year again, whether you want to spoil a loved one or just treat your need for new tech. This is a guide into what’s trending this year and some of the brand choices available in different products, there even a few price drops in gadget prices too.
We look at some great gadgets to buy this Christmas.
Voice Enabled Speakers
On the top of most people Christmas list this year and for good reason!
The Amazon Echo kicked off this trend over a year ago, but recently the Echo, Google home and Apple home Pod are all in competition for the top spot this year with all new features. With abilities such as playing music, setting reminders answering questions online and even ordering a pizza!
The voice-enabled speakers are becoming more advanced and with mobile app development, they can sync to other home devices for even more productive use.
Considering which one would suit your needs is wise though, the Amazon Echo Dot its very affordable at around £50 but is limited in the functions and audio quality it can produce, but at that price, it’s hard to say no to!
Not the latest and greatest in technology this year but a couple new features are worth mentioning if you don’t already have a set.
The prices for branded earphones have come down greatly, Monster, for example, are offering high-quality sports sets for around £30 now that give most people the chance to try them without committing hundreds of pounds to them.
Battery life has also got a lot better, some earphones like the Apple Earpods include a small case that also charges the earphones which is innovation and convenient, however some of the other brands haven’t offered this idea yet but their charges are getting a lot better with most brands advertising 10 hours of battery life between charges.
Love a coffee? Love Nespresso? Hate big clunky coffee machines? Nespresso has the new answer.
The Nespresso Essenza Mini is the new coffee machine they have to offer and the size is perfect, at just 4.3 inches wide and 8 inches deep most kitchens will have the space for perfect coffee in the morning.
The Hot was a sensation last year, and now the prices have dropped for that majority to try and love.
The hot cup is essentially a kettle that heats up the water a lot quicker by just boiling the water needed for one cup of tea/coffee.
A great gift for parents who are technophobes it’s a simple product that makes a daily love easier plus you’ll never hear the words “stick the kettle on” ever again. Brands such as Breville are advertising their product for less than £30 which boils water in less than 60 seconds!
The Nintendo Switch is a gaming device for all ages, Nintendo focuses on family-friendly games that are fun, exciting and even educational.
The latest Switch device is more practical the previous product too, it has the ability to become a hand-held console for entertainment in the long drives or functions that children don’t have the patience for.
Nintendo products are always popular too because they start at a lower price bracket than other competitor models, which aren’t even handheld… it’s a no-brainer this one.
There you have it, I think we’ve covered Adult and children’s gifts as well as fun and more practical gifts, so there’s no excuse this year to say you don’t know what to get!
